On 24 August 1954, the town was celebrated as a city with a presidential decree.

On July 2, 1754, it obtained the status of city with an imperial decree.

The street adopted its present name in compliance with a decree of 28 December 1894.

Its production was defined and protected with a decree of December 29, 1986.

The town received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on December 22, 1954.

With a decree (no. 98-375) in May 1998, the reserve became a national park.
