It just blew my mind to be a teenager to see such crazy artists.

"I see artists as being priests, which is clearly the way it was in other centuries," he said.

On Saturday afternoon you'll usually see artists at work, and glass blowing is always worth seeing.

The festival is also a good place to see newer artists.

"Where I went to school, you saw artists putting up stuff all the time, and other people tearing it down."

It's a long time since you could go to your local corn exchange and see international artists for ten bob.

"But I would have liked to see alternative artists mentioned, people who really made an impact in creating the culture."

Has it been an interesting experience then for you all seeing artists so close and at work?

I am glad to see real artists still putting out real music.
