As a sophomore in 2005, Davis was moved to the strong safety position.
He only played 10 games, most at the defensive safety position.
"We don't think they would do anything to risk that strong safety position," he said.
He also has two tackles from the free safety position.
In five seasons with the team, he started 30 games, 15 at each safety position.
His junior year he earned the starting safety position and started all 14 games.
The secondary, particularly the safety position, was hit especially hard.
Flowers moved into the starting free safety position before the 2011 season.
The next season, he became the starter at the strong safety position.
He was a walk on at the safety position in January 2007.
