Seven years later a new courthouse was constructed in town.

A completely new courthouse was opened on May 28, 1885.

This building would serve until 1817 when a new courthouse was needed.

Within two years the buildings became too small and a new courthouse was built for $10,000 in 1868.

The new courthouse was built from 1927 to 1928 at a cost of about $250,000.

As of 1980, the county built a new courthouse and the old one is no longer in use.

On February 27, 1895, county officials began moving into the new courthouse.

Construction of a new courthouse has been talked about but seems to be well into the future.

With work nearly finished, county workers moved into the new courthouse in April 1940.
