There's no mystery to why people love weddings and are thrilled to sit through them again and again.

What's changed is that now there are ways to measure exactly how much the country loves weddings, whether it's circulation of magazines, Nielsen ratings or box-office receipts.

Women, of course, absolutely love weddings.

Still, she loves weddings because they show people leaving behind their past identities and escaping into brand new lives.

But now I love weddings.
