"I'm pretty close to developing a two-pronged treatment," Kim said, walking to the acrylic panel.

The framework was then filled in with over 3,000 individual clear acrylic panels that assist in controlling the tropical atmosphere inside the building.

He encased the table base in acrylic panels that he sanded to create a frosted look.

The outside of the building features an exterior clad in translucent acrylic panels.

The ceiling of the lobby consists of square decorative hollow beams and acrylic panels.

His house, above right, has resin sinks and an atrium sheathed in acrylic panels.

A veranda with clear acrylic panels wrapped the lower story.

"I originally considered using glass, but the acrylic panels are lighter, less fragile and more durable," he said.

The walls, which enclose a bathroom, are made of two layers of acrylic panels, clear or amber inside and frosted outside.
