It also helped introduce older works to younger readers featuring stories by such authors as H.P. Lovecraft, A. Merritt, and Ray Cummings.

An Autobiography written by Ray Cummings appeared in the second issue of Fantastic Novels (reprinted from Argosy), alongside his story, The People of the Golden Atom.
