Friday services are held to commemorate the completion of a person's religious services during the prior week.

They addressed worshippers leaving Friday services and soon had attracted a crowd of over 100 people.

About 170 people attended the Friday service, compared with regular attendance of about 50.

In 1875 powers were granted for construction to begin and, on Friday 18 May 1877 public services commenced.

The members were gathered in the mosques attending Friday services.

Only 14 people attended Good Friday services earlier this month, compared with 60 a year ago.

Among them are men of importance in their community who lead prayers and give sermons at Friday services.

At regular Friday services, many times that number gather at the mosque.

"The late Friday service is dying, and it is not being mourned."

The work is divided in two parts to be performed before and after the sermon of the Good Friday service.
