For several decades, much of the party has put very little serious thought into European policy.

But unfortunately, for a long time European policy toward us has been very wrong.

It is the greatest success story of European foreign policy so far.

We have, in fact, a great need for European policy based on a clear vision.

At the same time we can make effective European policy.

There is no such thing as a European economic policy and we want to create one.

Let us at long last follow a clearly European policy.

That is why a single, common European policy will not work.

Otherwise, there is little point in having a European policy.
