Difficulties have arisen as a result of a £20 million loan taken out in 2007 to save 18th century Dumfries House in Ayrshire for the nation.
The Prince's private office has admitted that the heir to the throne took a risk in borrowing £20 million to finance the purchase of Dumfries House.
The Foundation was one of a group of organisations and individuals involved in the purchase of Dumfries House in 2007.
