The United States has built an economic structure of consumption.

As such, psychological self-determination has become the basis for a fundamental shift in the underlying structure of consumption from the mass to the individual.

Differences in the structure of consumption between countries must therefore be taken into account, and the minimum degree of opening up that is decided upon in the agreement consequently seems acceptable to me.

The stigmatization of amateurs as fools for contributing to society simply for the love of it can be explained by the amateur's non-conformity to the ideological structure of consumption (Goffman, 1963; Stebbins, 1992).
