Extraordinary session of the Sejm begins in Warsaw.

In the beginning of May 1647 the next session of the Sejm took place, at which it was planned to discuss the King's plans for war.

The November session of the Sejm was postponed by President Ignacy Mościcki.

The Council had remained in continuous operation and was therefore largely immune from szlachta's liberum veto obstructionism, which could be pursued only during the sessions of the Sejm.

During sessions of the Sejm, members of the council of ministers, including the prime minister and deputy prime minister, are seated in the government box within the chamber's plenary hall.

All three drafts were rejected on 25 January 2013 by the plenary session of the Sejm, most narrowly the bill proposed by the Civic Platform with 211 deputies supporting and 228 deputies rejecting submission of the bill to committees for further examination.

The Pacification Sejm was a session of the Sejm in 1736 that concluded the War of the Polish Succession in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth that erupted after the death of Augustus II the Strong in February 1733.

The State Council was elected on the first session of the sejm for a four-year period, and could be composed of both deputies and non-deputies; they were usually chosen from the 'party key' (with party being the Polish United Workers' Party) although occasionally it contained non-party members.

Sigismund pointed out that papal bulls had repeatedly asserted that all such accusations were without any foundation whatsoever; and he decreed that henceforth any Jew accused of having committed a murder for ritual purposes, or of having stolen a host, should be brought before his own court during the sessions of the Sejm.
