Would he say the same in the age of Darfur?

Let me close with a few words on Darfur to make my point.

At least 180,000 people in Darfur have died since 2003.

When Darfur first came to public attention, there were 70,000 dead.

The sales help to support a women's center in Darfur.

The situation in Darfur has been critical for four years.

So much in Darfur has been destroyed over the last two years of war.

And it should not be the lesson today in Darfur.

We don't have our national interest at stake in Darfur.

Everyone seems to have their own agenda when it comes to Darfur.

Whose arms are being used for the fighting in Darfur?

They and everybody must help to try to stop what is happening in Darfur.

We have yet to take any military action to stop the genocide in Darfur.

That must not happen without an end to the killing in Darfur.

They didn't know there was at least as big a patch in Darfur.

In Darfur, around two million people have been forced from their homes.

"My idea was to get them out of Darfur, to let things quiet down," he said.

People continue to die by the thousands every month in Darfur.

Something else has been damaged in Darfur, as well: the very culture of the place.

"Everything has been going so well, but Darfur could spoil the party."

From an aid perspective, things were getting better in Darfur until recently.

It's a pity about the poor dead people in Darfur.

"I expected everyone would have heard of the genocide in Darfur," he said.

The conflict in Darfur has made refugees of over a million men, women and children.

My guess is that the recent peace deal in Darfur will fall apart.
