If other ground wires are present, loosen them from their connection to the outlet box.

To install this type, simply join the short wires to those of the same color in the outlet box, using wire nuts.

Next, unscrew the switch from the outlet box and pull it out of the wall.

The kit installs through the hole occupied by the outlet box.

They are inserted through the hole occupied by the outlet box.

Then remove the ceiling light and examine the outlet box above it.

If bare copper wires are present in the outlet box, add the new wire to them.

Then unscrew and remove the receptacle from the outlet box inside the wall.

Apply caulking to the rear of the outlet box, and press it against the wall again.
