Trash haulers presented a plan yesterday under which waste disposal rates for about 40,000 New York City businesses could increase by 150 percent or more.

According to Waste Atlas, Turkey's waste collection coverage rate is 77%, whereas its unsound waste disposal rate is 69%.

Fiscal 2009 revenue pressures are expected to be mitigated, in part, by the receipt of unbudgeted revenue associated with a solid waste disposal rate increase, expected to produce approximately $300,000 of new revenue annually.
